GENERAL

This role is an EHS professional with leadership potential, will serve as a senior EHS resource firstly and move into a managerial role through self-development and provided mentoring over a specific period.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. College graduate with Chemical Engineering or Engineering background, with at least 10 years work experience
2. Minimum 5 years experience on EHS, a certified safety engineer is preferred
3. Good command of written and verbal English
4. A good thinker with good interpersonal skill
5. Demonstrate strong leadership capability

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide professional support on Environmental, Health, Safety and Security affairs to all functions at Foshan site to ensure regulatory and company standard compliance.
- Support CSO, compliance system owner, structure transformation and support CSO PDCA implementation among sites at Foshan to achieve EHS excellence
- Assume the Site leadership role on Environmental, Health, Safety and Security at appropriate stage

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES (Optional)

1. Take the lead within EHS teams at Foshan and work with QLT in developing Site annual EHS strategy, Compliance Plan and EHS compliance calendar
2. Master Safety, Health and Security programs in the CSO transition period and provide supports to other functions as CSO capability roles, and will progress to be the Site gatekeeper on Safety, Health, Security affairs in dealing with government agencies and EHS Tier 2 professionals.
3. Maintain good integrity of Safety, Health and Security procedures to meet requirements of local regulations and Invista standards.
4. Work with HR to ensure Site EHS training program support the effectiveness of Site EHS systems
5. Lead and coordinate Environmental, Health, Safety and Security improvement plans to achieve sustainable EHS excellence
6. Develop and lead safety promotion programs to raise safety awareness.
7. Develop and lead site audit plans, self-assessment plans in Environmental, Health, Safety and Security areas to support site EHS strategy, and compliance plan.
