MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Asian Area Site Support § Work with sites to develop environmental management system within OEMS. § Assist with development of procedures § Review aspects, impacts and programs § Provide advice and guidance to ensure continual improvement § Provide environmental audit service to sites focusing on disposal, recovery and recycling outlets. § Provide regulatory advice and oversight where they have the expertise. § Train and mentor site environmental specialists as needed. § Provide oversight and guidance to ensure S&T waste is managed in accordance with corporate guidelines and legal requirements. § Support the management of due diligence, divestiture and remediation projects, which will be led from the US. § Work with sites to generate and submit Environmental Impact Assessments for new projects, or update existing reports as needed. § Act as interface and coordinator with 3rd party service provider for regulatory guidance. § Coach sites on government relations aspects related to pollution prevention § Need to define scope. If this is a role for a "season," define the duration with expectation for candidate to deliver self-sustaining performance at close of season. If a long-term position (that will carry on after candidate leaves), objectives may be different. Corporate Environmental Activities § Participate in Responsible Care audit program. § Act as coordinator for Asian area environmental management activities:- § Track key performance indicators for sites § Assist with close out of non conformances § Report on issues and best practice periodically to CEA § Participate in corporate oversight audits. § Fostering implementation of standardized solutions/methodologies at sites in region. § Developing corporate environmental standards, EMTNs, etc... Materials Conversion Program § Provide regulatory advice to facilitate trans-provincial shipment of recyclable waste from existing ** manufacturing sites and, in accordance with future business plan, from ** customer sites. § Undertake periodic (6 monthly) inspections of recycle facilities to ensure compliance with ** Materials Conversion Program and legal requirements. § Provide regulatory oversight for importation of waste materials from Europe and US. |
