JOB DESCRIPTION
· PART I
TITLE : EHS Assist Manager
DEPARTMENT : EHS & S
REPORTS TO : EHS & S Manager
LOCATION : Shanghai

· Principal Responsibilities
· Focus on continuous improvement of current programs and operations to ensure EHS
target and objectives are achieved.
· Conduct regular area inspection to discover potential EHS risk, report to management
and follow up the findings till effective closure.
· Offer effective technical support for EHS system establishment and operation,
including management system and project environmental, safety & health
requirement.
· Recommends improvements to equipment and processes assuring standard
compliance.
· Ensure programs are implemented as per corporate and legal requirement
· Hold regular meetings to review system, communicates on the existing problems,
and work out action plan for continuous improvement
· Provide training to help build basic knowledge for environmental, safety and health.
· Investigate accidents, complete or verify accident reports, and liaise with technical
specialists and external health and safety authorities to Indentify the causes of
accidents and prevent their recurrence.
· Track and push for effective handling the nonconformities, drive and monitor for
effective corrective and preventive actions.
· Sustainability initiatives and other assigned EHS work by EHS Manager.
Requirements
· BS or above Degree in Industrial Safety Engineering or management, Environment
Engineering, Mechanical engineering/ Electrical engineering with minimum 5 years
of demonstrated EHS experience in Multi-national Company, US company
background is preferred.
· Familiar with safety and health law and regulation; Hazard analysis and risk
evaluation capability; good presentation skills.
· Sr. Sup. or Assist Manager level above for 2 years.
· Process driven, strong logical thinking and good analytic ability.
· Demonstrated ability in solving problems of EHS.
· Initiative and self-motivated, hardworking and willing to work under high pressure.
· Good team player within the organization and with high influence skill.
· Performance and Results Orientated.
· Fluent English language --in both reading and writing.
· National Certified safety Engineer is preferred.
· OHSAS18001 internal auditor is preferred.
· Good speaking English preferred.
