Education equivalent to:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Sciences, Engineering or a related field
- Chartered EHS Practioner certification preferred.
- Minimum 10 years experience in safety, health and environmental compliance, preferably within the chemical industry.
Job related work experience skills/knowledge requirements:
(describes ideal and preferable experience but not the number of years)
- Self motivated individual with good time management skills
- Good IT literacy skills, specifically with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint). Experience using third-party web databases preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Individual must be able to build strong relationships across diverse groups and participate effectively on cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Experience with implementing standards, procedures and training
- Experience in overseeing the occupational health management function
