Provide A/P regulatory guidance for A/P customers and Albemarle Corporation
Obtain approval for Albemarle’s products in the A/P region
Accountabilities: (Results achieved which earn reward)
Ensure programs are in place to meet local, country specific and international laws and regulations for products
Interpretation of pertinent regulations
Cost effective, workable registrations
Support of Customer Service and Logistics for regional transactions
Responsibilities: (Activities done by this role)
Monitor regulations in locations in which Albemarle has manufacturing operations, advise internal and external customers about proposed regulations which might impact ability to produce or ship products
Work with Albemarle businesses to monitor new product focus, identify relevant regulations and obtain registrations.
Provide input to CS and Logistics on Commodity Codes for exports/import s in the region
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree or above with major in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
Excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English
5+ years experience in the chemical industry either in a manufacturing position or in a regulatory compliance role
Experience of interaction with country governmental offices in the area of product registration will be high preferred
Experience in import /export coordination will be a preference
Language skills in Korean/Japanese will be a preference
